- Reference Solutions by Data Axle (formerly RefUSA) provides a job search feature and contact information for over 13 million businesses nationwide, searchable by company name, location, industry, yellow pages, or SIC category. - Learning Express Library will access online test prep materials and interactive practice exams that will help you improve your scores on civil service, military and professional licensing certification exams.

Resume builders:
Microsoft Word
Microsoft Word, available on the Library’s computer lab computers, includes a built-in “Resume Wizard”. The Resume Wizard asks for your contact information and the headings you’d like to include on your resume, then creates an outline. To access the Resume Wizard:
1. Open Microsoft Word
2. Click on the “File” menu
3. Select “New.”
4. Under Available Templates, look for Resumes and Cover Letters.

- Glass Door – An inside guide to jobs and companies.
- Salary.com – The salary wizard tells you what you should be making based on your job category and city. It also shows the U.S. national average. The site also has a salary advice section that’s very complete.

- Reference Solutions by Data Axle (formerly RefUSA) – This database provides company information, including industry, estimated sales, headquarters, and branch locations, credit rating, number of employees, and corporate hierarchy.
- Corfacts
- Edgar – Edgar provides access to quarterly reports (10-Q), annual reports (10-K), and other filings by public companies through the Securities and Exchange Commission. Anyone can access this information for free.

- Simply Hired – Research salaries, add jobs to a job map, and view company profiles.
Career Exploration
- O*Net – Find a job to match your skills and interests. This is a “comprehensive database of worker attributes and job characteristics” that defines and describes occupations, their job requirements and skills needed.
- Occupational Outlook Quarterly Online (OOQ) provides practical information on jobs and careers. Articles are written in straightforward, non-technical language and cover a wide variety of career and work-related topics, including new and emerging occupations, training opportunities, salary trends, and results from new studies by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
