We are dedicated to fostering an accessible environment that caters to the information needs of every member of our community.
The library welcomes suggestions from patrons as to how we can improve access to those requiring accommodations. Please call the library at 856-234-7319 or email us at
refdesk@mountlaurellibrary.org with your suggestions.
Parking: There are five handicap spots along the front of the library building.
Entrances: The library’s main entrance has wheelchair-accessible automatic doors.
Restrooms: Lobby restrooms are wheelchair accessible. There is a single-occupancy family restroom in the children’s area that is also wheelchair accessible.
Service Animals: In compliance with the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (NJ-LAD) and the Americans with Disability Act (ADA), service animals are welcome in all areas of the Library where members of the public are normally allowed to go.
Tabletop Magnifier: The library has a tabletop magnifier with a 24-inch monitor that magnifies printed text and images for ease of viewing. We invite anyone who may need such assistance to visit the Library and use the machine, which sits in the Quiet Study Area.
We are continually working to update both our online and physical library materials in order to make it easier for individuals with visual impairments to access information.
Large Print Book Collection: For those who have difficulty reading standard-sized print books, the library maintains and updates a collection of large print books, both fiction and non-fiction.
In addition, patrons may request copies of books (standard and large print) from other libraries via the catalog at no cost.
Electronic Resources: The library offers downloadable books, audiobooks, magazines, music, movies, and television series through Libby, hoopla and Kanopy. Anyone with an Mount Laurel Library card can make use of these services free of charge, allowing patrons access to a variety of information and entertainment without having to leave home. Library staff members are trained on how to set up new accounts and download material and are available during library hours to assist patrons who are new to these resources or who need a refresher on how to use them. View our digital borrowing options.
Wireless Printing: The library offers wireless printing services, allowing people who prefer to work from home or another outside location the ability to send material to the library for printing. The material can then be picked up at any time during the library’s open hours. Learn more about wireless printing.
We value inclusion and access for all participants and are pleased to provide reasonable accommodations for all events and activities.
